For Helping Foster Youth

Did you know proceeds from your Stagecoach Greens ticket sales support Bay Area foster youth and families through Braid Mission?

Here's how you are helping us make a lasting impact in the Bay Area and beyond:
  • Mentoring: Through a team-oriented approach to mentoring, we help heal the wounds of foster care by building trusted and supportive relationships. Foster youth are matched with a team of adult volunteers, ensuring consistent support.
  • Education: Since 2014, Braid has trained hundreds of potential volunteers about the realities of foster care, empowering them to make a difference in their local communities.
  • Cards of Hope: Braid has sent thousands of cards to group homes and facilities that house youth who are separated from loved ones.

Learn more below about how you can continue to be part of this work no matter where you live!

Be A Facilitator

Volunteer from Home

Behind every Braid team is a team facilitator, and unlike our local mentors, facilitators can serve from anywhere in the U.S.—so you can make a lasting difference without ever leaving your house. Every week, facilitators provide behind-the-scenes support to mentors, field questions from their team, and can step in to navigate concerns with mentors, mentees, social workers, or family members.

Other Ways to Help

In addition to Braid, there are many ways to support foster youth in the Bay Area and beyond. Find information about other great organizations throughout the U.S., as well as resources for learning more about welcoming a foster child into your home.

Cards of Hope

Bring a smile to a child's face when you drop a greeting card in the mail. Children in foster care often feel forgotten, especially around their birthdays. Through our Cards of Hope program, we are able to send cards to group homes and facilities that house youth who are separated from loved ones. Throughout the year, we send cards for birthdays and "just because."
