Card Drive for Braid Mission

Calling all card makers!

Over the years of collecting thousands of Cards of Hope, we have received many beautiful handmade cards with heartfelt messages, and we have connected with wonderful folks in the card-making community. Now we are hosting our first Card Drive, sponsored by faithful Braid volunteer and card maker extraordinaire Jessica Barber.

From October 1 – November 15 we are collecting blank handmade cards in any amount: you can send one or 100, and each one will make a difference! Our goal is to collect 1,000 cards.

Your cards are a donation to Braid: we will bundle and sell them on Etsy to raise funds for our mentoring program for foster youth and Cards of Hope. (If you would like to send cards with messages inside, please see our Cards of Hope page for all the details.) You can learn more about Braid’s work throughout our website.

The process is simple:

  • Make some cards.
  • Fill out the Google form to let us know how many cards you are sending. This really helps us keep track of the cards, and it enters you to win prizes.
  • Mail your cards to us at Braid Mission Card Drive, 629 Marin St. #4383, Vallejo CA 94590.

Card specifications:

  • You can make any kind of card you’d like, for any occasion: birthdays, thank you, holidays, “just because”!
  • Envelopes are appreciated but not required. If you do include envelopes, please leave the cards outside the envelopes.
  • You can include printed sentiments inside the cards (like Happy Birthday, Congratulations, Thinking of You, etc.) but please do not write personal messages on the inside.

Everyone who submits at least one card and fills out the Google form will be entered in a drawing for one of several fabulous prizes, which were generously donated by the following sponsors:

We would love your help spreading the word! Please tag Jessica on Instagram @jessbcards and Braid Mission @braidmission and use the hashtag #braidmissioncarddrive so we can see your beautiful cards. You can also find Braid Mission on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
