Opinion: There Are Worse Things Than Foster Care

An important perspective on safety as foster care and the Family First Act put more emphasis on reunification of children with their biological families. All of our youth at Braid have spent time in foster care, and many have been returned to their families of origin. While we hope the best for all of our families, our volunteers are always alert to any signs that our youth might be in danger.
